Giving visitors the chance to experience a documentary
Together with the Art Directors Club in New York City we created an interactive installation for their ‘ART. STORYTELLING. IMPACT.’ exhibition to promote the awarded documentary ‘Brooklyn Castle’. The installation is called ‘Bold Moves’ and allows visitors to learn more about I.S. 318, a public school in Brooklyn, where 65% of students live below the federal poverty level and which surprisingly has the highest ranked junior high chess team in the nation.
Every time you move a chess figure, a new short video is played and then projected on the wall. This way people experience the documentary according to their moves – the more they play chess, the more they learn about the students.
